Resources Assessment

Geothermal energy resources is a heat from underground sources ranging from the shallow subsurface, to reservoirs of hot steam, water, and rock deep beneath the Earth that can be converted into electricity. First stage of geothermal development is to identify the potential resources of the areas by conducting preliminary survey to obtain geology, geochemistry and geophysics data. The preliminary data will be used as a basis to estimate the hypothetical resources and to predict future risks and uncertainties of a geothermal area.

Maturation Process

This stage drives the maturation of resources to reserves to power through several steps. This process began with the implementation of detailed study that will be followed by exploration and appraisal drilling. Furthermore, feasibility study will be conducted to provide analysis that will be the basis for steam field development, power plant construction and operations plan. Eventually, monitoring and maintenance as a continuous process will ensure the operation runs smoothly.

The Way Forward

Look back and lesson learned from the project will be collected to develop best practices that can be applied in the future. Best practice from the project will drive business and strategic plan for next geothermal development.
